ACA Conference 2018 Registration Support
The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) is holding its annual conference in Edmonton from June 6-9, 2018. Further information about the conference and its theme, “Truths, Trusts, and Technology” can be found at the ACA website at www.archivists.ca.
Traditionally, the ASA has provided only travel and accommodation support as part of its Professional Development Travel Assistance (PDTA) program. Given that the ACA conference provides a rare professional development opportunity for local archivists, the ASA is setting aside additional professional development funding to assist in subsidizing registration costs. Please note that the regular PDTA program can be utilized for other ACA conference costs.
For those archivists who are current individual members of the Archives Society of Alberta for 2018-2019, the ASA will provide 50% of registration costs up to a maximum of $209 towards ACA conference registration costs. Please note that the total funding available for this grant is $6000, so the grant will be given based on both eligibility and on a first come first serve basis. Given the conference registration costs outlined on the ACA website, the subsidy would have the following results on the cost to ASA members:

For information about ACA membership, please visit the ACA website. Please note: the ASA will reimburse its members who received preapproval after the conference and pending submission of the Grant Report form. The Grant Report form must be submitted to ASA within 30 days after the conference.
