Archives Week 2000 will be held from Sunday, October 1 to Saturday, October 7. A special event will be held in Calgary on the evening of Monday, October 2 to officially open the week. Notices will be sent to all ASA institutional members as soon as details have been finalized. If you are planning an event for Archives week, please notify Kathryn Ivany or Kirsten Olson as we will be preparing press releases for distribution. We anticipate that many institutions will continue to plan events that will entice, entertain and inform. The theme of the Virtual Exhibit this year will be one of lust, desire, anger or any other unbridled emotion as we celebrate the passions held within. "Preserving Passion in Alberta's Archives" will explore the emotional side of archival holdings and will undoubtedly be as popular as our previous virtual exhibits.
