Two-Day Workshop - August 26.2013

This workshop has been re-scheduled for September 27 & 28, 2013 as the Spring workshop was cancelled due to a winter storm.

The ASA is presenting a two-day workshop on archival exhibits on September 27 & 28, 2013 at the University of Calgary.

This 2-day workshop will explore various aspects of exhibit planning and design with a special focus on the unique concerns of displaying archival material. Aspects to be explored include storyline development and label writing, effectively using colour and lighting and planning your space. Safe materials and mounts for archival display will also be addressed along with some hands on activities. The instructors, who have both created exhibits with archival materials, will provide you with the necessary tools to execute an exhibit from the early planning phase to post-exhibit evaluation.

The workshop instructors are Joanne White and Kevin Zak.
