About ASA

Archives matter, now and for the future.

The Archives Society of Alberta (ASA) is a not-for-profit association supporting archives and archivists in Alberta. ASA supports its members in the preservation and access of individual and societal records for the benefit of future generations.

By maintaining the decisions, experiences and memories of Albertans from a variety of perspectives, the ASA ensures a more comprehensive shared history of Alberta and its people.

This work is essential as it captures the living legacy of the people and stories that make Alberta home.

Our strategic framework is the foundation of the services we offer. We welcome archivists, archival workers, archives and supporters to join our community and benefit from our programming and to help us collectively achieve our goals and strengthen our work and our profession.
