The ASA strives to support archives and archivists in their work to preserve and promote Alberta's historic record. ASA members have access to funding, resources and advice to support archival work.

Associate institutional members include archival organizations which do not meet full institutional member criteria as well as supporting organizations such as vendors, out-of-province archival institutions, other professional associations, and organizations from related sectors.

Institutional Membership

Institutional members are accredited by the ASA. These members have an operational mandate, a formal commitment of resources, a public access policy, availability to the public, and operating procedures consistent with generally recognized archival practices. Our current list of institutional members can be found in our directory.

This list of members is recommended to the public seeking to donate archival materials, as these archival organizations adhere to best practices in the profession.
